Beginner Yoga
Beginner Yoga is just that. It is a combination of stretching and standing poses as well as Sun Salutations. This class is easy to grasp for the student has has never taken a yoga class, but challenging enough to keep the student engaged. Be prepared to move from the ground to standing and then back down again. You will raise your heart rate and deeply stretch every limb of your body.

Yoga Stretch
Yoga Stretch  focus on stretching and lengthening the body through a series of poses. This is an excellent class for those who want to be exposed to yoga to see if it right for them. It is a gentle approach to yoga for anyone with  a knee, shoulder or hip  injury or for the person who hasn't exercised in a while and wishes to begin slowly. Yoga stretch is also wonderful for athletes who need to incorporate more stretching into their workout program such as runners, cyclists, dancers, etc. In this class we tend to stay on the ground or if we do standing stretches, we remain standing.

Senior Stretch
Senior Stretch is a slower paced stretch class for seniors. We will focus on general stretching, increasing balance and flexibility and movement. As we age it is increasingly important for us to keep our minds sharp and our bodies in motion. This class is a softer approach to stretch and will incorporate chair yoga as well as mat work.

Restorative Yoga
Restorative yoga is all about deep relaxation. In this class you will focus on pranyama  (breathing techniques) and spend time in fewer poses so that your body moves into complete rest. If you suffer from insomnia, stress or simply find it difficult to wind down, this is the class for you. Be prepared to sleep well afterwards!

Mixed Level
Mixed Level Yoga is for the student who is not familiar with yoga, but can move easily from a standing to a sitting position and for the more seasoned yogi. This class incorporates more of the flow yoga that is associated with Hatha Yoga. We begin with stretching and move into Sun Salutations. Our instructors can modify poses to accommodate students at every level of fitness in the same class. This is more challenging than a stretch class, but can still be taken by the new to yoga student, and for the seasoned yogi, there will be several modification options to challenge you as well.

Vinyasa I
Vinyasa I  is more challenging than the beginner class and moves at a faster pace. Again, accommodations can be made to the new student to provide assistance in getting into the asanas (poses). We begin with stretching, but quickly move to "building heat" through the use of Sun Salutations and a faster flow of asana. We explore balancing poses, backbends and inversions in this class. Be prepared to sweat and to
challenge yourself.

Yama Mama's
Yama Mama's is a prenatal class to begin sometime this fall. It will be held once a week and is open to women in all stages of pregnancy. The class will be about 40 minutes long and will incorporate breathing and savasana. It is a wonderful way to connect with your growing fetus and also to help you through labor and delivery.

*Be sure to drink plenty of fluids (water) before, during and after your yoga practice.
